A little about me:
My name is Julie Benham.
A couple of years ago, after 25 years in healthcare technology, I unexpectedly found myself starting over when the company I worked for was sold and my position was eliminated.
The timing wasn’t exactly ideal. I had just realized a longtime dream of owning a little piece of land where I could have my horses, chickens and garden right outside my door and I was in the middle of completely remodeling the house.
Suddenly, the career and income I had counted on were gone, and I had to figure out what came next.
What I didn’t know at the time was that losing the career I thought I’d have until retirement would completely change the way I looked at work, income and what I wanted the next chapter of my life to look like.
I had to fall back on my previous career as a nurse (with a huge pay cut) to keep my farm and my animals fed while I searched for another tech job.
I had seen this business earlier but figured I'd start it as a back up when I found a new job, but 14 months
later, still no tech job.
So I jumped in!

I’m a farm wife and stay-at-home mom in Southwest Nebraska, raising kids alongside chores, cattle, and the everyday chaos of farm life. I am blessed to live on our family's farm, raising our two kids. Previously, I was starting horses under saddle to scrape together a little extra income. In one year I have been able to stop doing that and only take a couple horses, if I want to. Because I am not training full-time, I have already been able to do so many more activities with my kids this year and we have plans for many more!
We started this business just under 2 years ago and we have been very impressed with the results from time it takes to the ROI it yields. So much more profitable then any other side-business we have ever owned (including cows and horses lol)! Kacey has been able to quit 3 of her part time jobs, we paid off our Gypsy Vanner Stallion, 1 Gypsy Mare, 2 Vehicles, a different business we opened and now use this as Kacey’s full-time income.
